For nearly three decades, Meridian has been Bozeman’s premier destination for elevated but accessible women’s fashion. The Heroine of the West endlessly inspires us: an archetype of the stylish, multi-faceted woman who can roll her sleeves up and get to work, attend a gala, climb a mountain, host a dinner party, or jet set to a far-away land. She’s versatile, cultured, and always dressed with intention. Meridian’s retail concept invites our guests into an authentic, inspiring space in which they can channel their inner Heroine of the West, finding intentional pieces for every moment of their every day.

In the early 1990s, Bozeman was a burgeoning cow town, sorely lacking space for women to find goods to match their evolving lifestyles. A fourth-generation Montanan, Andrea “Andi” Bennett, saw this opportunity and opened Meridian Boutique in 1993. Her vision was to help women elevate their every day, believing that what a person wears truly affects how they move through the world.

Twenty years later, Andi’s life path crossed with Haley Connolly's. The two women bonded over fashion, entrepreneurship, their mutual love of travel, and their western roots, discovering that their ranching families were friends in the 1950s. Their friendship evolved into a partnership, and today Haley carries the late Andi Bennett’s legacy with pride through their shared vision of dressing the creative woman for every moment of her life.

As a personal stylist and sales associate, you are excited to inspire, engage, and captivate clients through your professionalism, warmth, and knowledge. A burgeoning expert in all things fashion, you’re up-to-date on the latest trends and have a thorough understanding of Meridian's brands. Your expertise and keen visual eye mean you’re well equipped to help customers find the right pair of high-waisted denim, style that dress they’ve had their eye on, or make a trend accessible for their everyday life. Seeing a client’s face light up when they find the perfect piece lights you up too, and you’re excited to help clients feel confident and chic.

Friends describe you as a “people person” who is responsible, fun, and flexible – you’re that organized friend who is on time for everything and makes restaurant reservations but is also happy to go with the flow. At work, you’re meticulously organized regarding things like receiving inventory and processing transactions, but you can also happily roll with the punches of a lively retail environment.

About the Role

The sales associate / stylist handles the store's day-to-day responsibilities, including customer service, sales, basic store maintenance, inventory, and merchandising. In this multi-faceted role, you’ll spend most of your time on the sales floor, focusing on meeting or surpassing monthly sales goals and providing exemplary customer service to clients.

When you’re not on the sales floor, you’ll be processing shipments and inventory, completing necessary paperwork and reports, accurately ringing up transactions, providing courteous and professional customer service over the phone, maintaining the store’s cleanliness and organization, and creating compelling visual merchandising displays on mannequins and store windows. You’ll also be expected to stay up-to-date on vendors, current trends, and merchandise (specifically regarding fit and styling).
